Amanda Knoch, the wife of Ryan Edwards who appears on the reality show "Teen Mom," was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence with a baby in the car.
On the 24th (local time), according to U.S. entertainment outlet TMZ, Knoch was arrested Sunday morning near Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was indicted on charges of driving under the influence and child abuse and neglect. The outlet also reported that she was charged with driving in the opposite lane of the road.
According to a recording of the emergency call obtained by TMZ, the call taker did not mention names but said the husband called police because he was worried his wife appeared to be using drugs and that the wife left the house with the baby in the car. Knoch's bail was set at $16,000.
Edwards (37) and Knoch (35) began dating in September 2023, but they had been friends for years before their relationship developed. The two married in September 2025, just two weeks after Knoch finalized her divorce from her ex-wife Mackenzie Standifer.
Edwards and Knoch are raising their 1-year-old daughter Presley together. Edwards is also the father of 17-year-old son Bentley, born to "Teen Mom" cast member Maci Bookout, and 7-year-old son Jaeger and 6-year-old daughter Stella, born to Standifer.
Edwards has struggled with addiction and several legal issues since appearing in season 1 of the reality show "16 & Pregnant" with Bookout in 2009.
In March 2023, after Edwards was arrested on multiple criminal charges related to Standifer, a judge ordered him to undergo treatment for substance abuse problems.
Bookout, 34, said on a podcast in July 2023 that she had "reached a breaking point" over Edwards' very public struggles. When things like Ryan going to jail and making foolish decisions happened, I definitely reached my limit, she said.
He added, "But the treatment I received before and checking myself, being kinder to myself and allowing myself to fall apart and get back up completely changed the situation."
Bookout married her husband Taylor McKinney in October 2016. The couple has two children: daughter Jade (10) and son Maverick (9).
