Singer Kim Gi-tae will release a remake recording of "Inyeon."
Kim Gi-tae is scheduled to present the second new song in the "Oriental series" and the remake recording "Inyeon" today (24th) at 6 p.m. through various online music sites.
"Inyeon" is a formal remake by Kim Gi-tae of the title track from Lee Sun-hee's 13th album Sa-chun-gi (四春期), released in 2005, and it delivers an immersive feeling that makes a poignant narrative appear before your eyes just by listening.
From the low, murmured introduction that follows a Korean melodic line to the chorus where high notes surge, Kim Gi-tae leads a dramatic progression. His distinctive husky vocal style, which explodes a cry-like han (恨), is expected to maximize the resonance.
The "Oriental series" is Kim Gi-tae's own music series that fully captures Korean sentiment and soul. Following the first new song "Seoyak," released last month, he continues to receive favorable reviews with this "Inyeon." In particular, "Inyeon" previously drew a strong response, with a stage cover video Kim Gi-tae released approaching 5 million combined views on YouTube, raising expectations for the official recording.
In addition, Kim Gi-tae is launching and developing various series this year, such as the male series "Byeoldareul ge eopseo" and the alcohol series "Manchwi," showcasing a solid musical world. "Inyeon," reinterpreted in Kim Gi-tae's unique vocal color, is also expected to resonate with many listeners.
