On the 24th, the KBS 2TV entertainment program "The CEO's ears are donkey ears" (abbreviated as Sadanggwi) featured Um Ji-in visiting the KBS Changwon headquarters.
That day, Um Ji-in met rookie announcer Park Hyo-jin, who is serving in rotating local duty at KBS Changwon headquarters. Park Hyo-jin had earlier been known as "Seoul National University Min-ji" and gained attention as a KBS rookie announcer. Um Ji-in made the visit herself to support a junior who is doing rotating duty at the same KBS Changwon headquarters as she is.
From the moment she arrived at work wearing a suit, Park Hyo-jin said, "I come neatly with the mindset of an announcer," showing the epitome of a model rookie announcer. She even recorded makeup correction notes in her work diary. Um Ji-in was astonished by the densely packed records, including contents from the previous review meeting. In response, Sadanggwi MC Kim Sook also marveled, "This person will become a KBS flagship."
A senior announcer who is the director general of the announcer bureau at KBS Changwon headquarters also praised Park Hyo-jin, saying, "Everyone says she is very good. Right now she seems like a baby and a rookie, but when she goes to the studio and turns on the mic, her expression changes. Our main newscast runs a 40-minute block, and she is doing it as the sole main anchor."
In the dressing room, she corrected her makeup by herself without help from those around her and carefully prepared her outfits. She even altered a size 55 outfit down to a size 33, drawing surprise.
For that junior, Um Ji-in even watched the news. She sharply pointed out during rehearsal when Park Hyo-jin answered a PD call aloud, saying, "You are repeating what was pointed out at the review meeting. Respond to rehearsal calls with hand signals. Even when not on air, if it becomes a habit it can lead to a broadcast accident, so you must do that." <
