"Absolute Value of Romance" Kim Hyang-gi deleted the novel.
On the 22nd, Coupang Play's "Absolute Value of Romance" (directed by Lee Tae-gon, Kim Jun-hyung) episodes 13 and 14 depicted Ye Ui-ju (Kim Hyang-gi) facing the risk of her identity as a novelist being exposed.
Ye Ui-ju, who had wanted to confess her feelings to Ga Woo-su (Cha Hak-yeon), ultimately could not speak and only kept saying that after-school classes were difficult. Ye Ui-ju, who had been unsettled after hearing Ga Woo-su's meaningful remark, "Have you forgotten the promise from 10 years ago?", tried to convey her confession through the novel she was writing, "We were friends," but the only thing she heard from Ga Woo-su was, "I don't know why you say things that don't fit the situation."
Ye Ui-ju was heartbroken when she saw Ga Woo-su brightly smiling while on the phone with someone. She cried to her close friend Choi Go-ya (Kim So-hee) that Ga Woo-su couldn't see her as a woman and, after shedding tears, ultimately decided to give up on her feelings.
As she neglected her regular classes and assignments, Ye Ui-ju was scolded and, to make matters worse, faced the risk of being discovered as the author of the novel starring Ga Woo-su and others. This was because Eun Ha-su (No Joo-eun) overheard what students were saying, identified the author, and reached Ye Ui-ju.
Panicked by Eun Ha-su's pursuit, Ye Ui-ju considered deleting the novel and confided her worries to Ga Woo-su. Ga Woo-su advised, "Think back to when you first started. Think about why you began writing this novel and your initial feelings. The answer is there." When Eun Ha-su saw Ga Woo-su seemingly favoring Ye Ui-ju, she made up her mind and decided to expose everything.
But Ga Woo-su was already aware that Ye Ui-ju was writing the novel. When things didn't go her way, Eun Ha-su exposed it in the group message chat, and she strongly requested that the principal convene the disciplinary committee to punish her, mentioning infringement of teacher authority and defamation.
Ga Woo-su told Ye Ui-ju, "You cannot avoid the disciplinary committee, so prepare what responsibilities you will take and what you will say," and advised, "It may be scary now, but I don't know what the outcome will be. How you accept, go through and handle this process is more important than the outcome." He also asked No Da-ju (Kim Jae-hyun), Jeong Ki-jeon (Son Jeong-hyeok) and Yoon Dong-ju (Kim Dong-gyu) to leave the judgment to each individual.
Afterward, Ye Ui-ju confessed to her parents that she had written a BL novel, posted an apology and deleted her novel.
