Girl's Day Yura revealed an experience when she reached the highest weight of her life.
On the 22nd, a video titled "Yura Hee-jeong, who has nothing in common except age, becomes true friends" was uploaded to the "YuraYurahae" channel.
In the video that day, her close friend actress Kim Hee-jeong appeared as a guest, and the two recalled their first meeting during the film "Glory of the Family: Returns".
Kim Hee-jeong asked, "Do you still see everyone now?" and asked whether she kept in touch with other actors, and Yura replied, "I don't see them often." She then said, "But at that time I was drinking almost once a day, so I weighed 47kg for four years. That was before filming that movie. But while filming that movie I gained 8kg in two months," she revealed, surprising listeners.
In response, Kim Hee-jeong asked, "If you're 56kg, isn't that normal for your height?" and Yura said, "It was the first weight I ever recorded in my life. I had never gone above 54kg. Not even once. But after filming that movie I reached 56kg because of drinking," she confessed.
She said, "I almost desperately didn't eat and immediately lost weight back down to 47kg. But what happened? I stopped drinking entirely and barely ate, and my cheeks suddenly hollowed out. I looked much older. Losing weight when you're young is different from losing weight as you age. So I gained it back," she shared her struggles.
Having regained weight up to 50kg, Yura said, "So my face looked a bit better," but added, "People still said, 'Aren't you sick? Shouldn't you get a health check?' They said that because I looked so thin."
