The group XLOV unveiled itself through a collaboration with actress Han So-hee, raising anticipation for their comeback to a peak.
XLOV (Umuti, Rui, Hyun, Haru) will release their second mini album, I,God, at 6 p.m. on the 27th on various online music sites.
Prior to this, at 12 a.m. today (23rd) they uploaded the music video teaser for the title track "SERVE" from the second mini album I,God (I, God) on their official YouTube channel.
The released teaser was intense from the start. Against an antique and mysterious backdrop, the four members of XLOV's overwhelming visuals rapidly intercut and immediately captured viewers' attention. Amid tense direction, the members showcased their individual, unmatched auras and created a perfect sense of allure.
The highlight of this teaser was undoubtedly the performance that maximized XLOV's deadly charm. True to their differentiated identity as the first K-pop male idol group to present themselves as "genderless," they delivered a flowing, impeccably precise voguing performance with exact hand movements. Although brief, the performance offered intense immersion and heightened global fans' expectations for the full music video to be released later.
Here, snippets of the new song "SERVE," colorful and sensuous and built on a groovy bass sound, captured the ear and foreshadowed XLOV's unique musical world taking bold genre risks.
In particular, the music video attracted attention as top actress Han So-hee lent her support. Appearing under red lighting in the latter part of the video, Han So-hee projected presence with a face that looked wounded and a wistful yet deep gaze. XLOV's second mini album I,God is their first new release in about six months since their first mini album, UXLXVE (Unlove), released last November.
