Broadcaster Park Soo-hong responded to the sudden allegations of abuse of his pet cat Dahong with a few photographs.
On the 23rd, Park Soo-hong posted several photos on his social media with the caption "Jae-i, who has grown a lot, and the ever-same Dahong."
In the released photos, Park Soo-hong's daughter Jae-i and pet cat Dahong are spending a tender time looking out the window. Jae-i stands beside Dahong, who is sitting on a red stool and looking out the window. Compared with a photo from six months earlier, you can see that Jae-i has grown noticeably.
After some internet users watched a video released on Park Soo-hong's YouTube channel "Haengbokhae Dahong," they pointed out that Jae-i was seen mixing Dahong's kibble into a water bowl and playing, that they did not stop her even though Dahong appeared to be in a stressful situation, and that walking a territorial animal like a cat was inappropriate, raising suspicions of neglect.
Park Soo-hong did not issue a formal statement on the matter, but by sharing images of Dahong and Jae-i being affectionate, he indirectly addressed the neglect allegations.
Meanwhile, Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye were married in 2021 and welcomed a daughter in October last year.
