Actor Oh Hyunkyung expressed pride over her daughter's college graduation.
Oh Hyunkyung posted a photo on her social media on the 20th with the caption, "Chaeryeong, congratulations on your graduation. Proud daughter. Goodbye Boston."
In the released photo, Oh Hyunkyung's daughter posed after graduating from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S. Her striking looks, closely resembling her mother, a former Miss Korea and actress, stand out.
Oh Hyunkyung previously appeared on the YouTube channel "Jung Si-a asijeong" and said her daughter majored in art at that university.
On the broadcast, Oh Hyunkyung confessed, "From kindergarten through fifth grade we sent her to camps every year, sent her to relatives' homes, tried homestays, went through several years of trying things out and finally decided to send her (to study abroad)."
She added, "What kind of luxurious life are you going to have when you can't communicate, when words don't get across and you suffer disadvantages? How hard must that have been. You're separated from your parents. And unless you were originally good at English. The second time, sometimes when I was angry I'd say, 'Do you know how expensive this is?' but one day I realized. How can you convert the process of growing up into money when you can't watch their growth? I was so ashamed. Children grow up without their parents. So I cried a lot.
