Actor Kwon Eun-bin, formerly of the group CLC, is leaving Cube Entertainment Corp., where she spent 10 years.
On the 22nd, Cube Entertainment Corp. said, "After long discussions with our artist Kwon Eun-bin, we have decided to terminate the exclusive contract."
Debuting as a CLC member in 2016, Kwon Eun-bin showed outstanding ability as the group's youngest member and a versatile all‑around artist covering vocals, rap and dance. Since 2018 she has pursued acting, widening her range as an actress with sincere performances.
With the exclusive contract ended, Kwon Eun-bin appears likely to leave the entertainment industry and live as a private citizen. She recently requested that the open encyclopedia Namu Wiki delete content related to her.
Kwon Eun-bin said of the deletion request, "Currently I have effectively suspended my activities in the entertainment industry, and I have also taken down all public profiles such as my Naver profile. From now on I plan to return to the life of a private citizen and live quietly," adding, "However, the Namu Wiki article remains public, and exposure of my private life and the burden continue. I respectfully request deletion of the article according to my wishes."
Cube Entertainment Corp. said, "We deeply thank Kwon Eun-bin for her hard work over the past 10 years as an artist representing Cube Entertainment Corp., and we sincerely support actor Kwon Eun-bin as she walks a new path."
