(continuing from interview ③) Actress Park Eunbin conveyed cautious feelings toward season 2 of Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
On the morning of the 22nd, at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, an interview was held with Park Eunbin, the lead actress of the Netflix original The Wonder Fools.
The Wonder Fools is a supernatural comic adventure set at the end of the 1999 century, in which neighborhood fools who accidentally gain superpowers struggle to protect the world from villains who threaten peace.
Through this work, Park Eunbin, who reunited with director Yoon In-sik, who worked with her on ENA's Extraordinary Attorney Woo, said, "I first met director Yoon In-sik on Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and he has become a director I truly respect. He is a good adult personally, and whereas in the past we talked about the direction of the work, the story about the project, and about me as an actor, now there are times when I want to ask questions of him as a human adult."
She said, "Personally, because we have communicated a lot and spent a long time together, I feel that I now have a truly good adult in my life. I sincerely respect him, and the director choosing me again like this — he said many good things in the interview. I was grateful."
Regarding the voices that have continued for four years after the end of Extraordinary Attorney Woo calling for season 2, Park Eunbin said, "Extraordinary Attorney Woo 2 is, because I love and cherish it, something I strongly want to protect. So when asked what or for whom it is for, the answer must be clear to gain the momentum to proceed. If I myself am not convinced of that, I think it would be difficult." She added, "But I think that because I cherish and love it, the director and the writer surely feel the same way as I do."
In The Wonder Fools, in addition to director Yoon In-sik, many people who worked together on Extraordinary Attorney Woo appear, including Lim Seong-jae (as Kang Robin) and Choi Dae-hoon (as Son Kyung-hoon). Park Eunbin said, "Many of the directing team moved over from the Extraordinary Attorney Woo team, so starting on a familiar set was an experience I had for the first time. I was able to adapt quickly to working again with a familiar team. The actors, needless to say, all melted into their characters so well that the chemistry was really good. Each person immersed themselves in each other's characters, creating energy and naturalness in their performances. The action comes sharply, but it was a perfect match and the teamwork was well coordinated," conveying the strong chemistry.
Meanwhile, The Wonder Fools was released on Netflix on the 15th.
