'Absolute Value of Romance' Kim Hyang-gi's identity was finally exposed.
On the 22nd, the Coupang Play series 'Absolute Value of Romance' (directed by Lee Tae-gon and Kim Jun-hyung) showed Yeoi-ju (Kim Hyang-gi) apologizing after her identity was discovered and deleting the novel she had written herself.
Eun Ha-su (No Ju-eun) told Ga Woo-su (Cha Hak-yeon) that Yeoi-ju was characterizing a teacher and writing a BL novel. When Ga Woo-su replied, "I know," Eun Ha-su said, "Why does only that girl get special treatment? After school and the novel too—why does the teacher pay so much attention to someone like Yeoi-ju?" Ga Woo-su said, "It's not because it's Yeoi-ju; it would have been the same if it were you," but Eun Ha-su snapped, "Shouldn't he pay more attention to me than to someone like her?"
When she did not get the answer she wanted, Eun Ha-su posted the BL novel written by Yeoi-ju in the group chat saying, "Both of them should fail." Eun Ha-su told the principal it was defamation and a violation of school authority and that she didn't want the school dragged into a messy scandal. While the school was in an uproar, Choi Go-ya (Kim So-hee) stood by Yeoi-ju, asked how things had happened, and suggested finding a way to respond.
Eun Ha-su painted Yeoi-ju as gloomy and swayed public opinion. Tension rose as those who sided with Eun Ha-su to attack Yeoi-ju and friends who protected Yeoi-ju faced off, and Ga Woo-su called Yeoi-ju in. Yeoi-ju said, "I should take responsibility for this," and wanted to accept all responsibility. Ga Woo-su advised, "You can't avoid the student council, so prepare what responsibilities you will take and what you will say. It may be scary now, but I don't know what the outcome will be. How you accept, go through and handle this process is more important than the result."
No Da-ju (Kim Jae-hyun), Jeong Ki-jeon (Son Jeong-hyeok) and Yoon Dong-ju (Kim Dong-gyu) said it was not something to brush off and agreed, "Yeoi-ju's punishment depends on what we say." Meanwhile, Yeoi-ju showed her parents the BL novel she had written and bowed her head, saying in her notice about the novel, "I modeled the story on real people around me. I interpreted and adapted someone's daily life, their speech and habits as I pleased to make a story. I should have been able to create things on my own, but I could not. I sincerely apologize."
And Yeoi-ju deleted the novel she had written, "We were friends."
