On the 21st episode of the tvN variety show "Undercover Chef", Sam Kim, Jeong Ji-seon and Chef Kwon Seong-jun removed their rank insignia and disguised themselves as the kitchen's youngest hires overseas, drawing attention.
That day MC Kim Poong asked the chefs how it was. Kwon Seong-jun said "It was too hard. I'm still not recovered," showing a tired appearance.
Sam Kim said "I feel awkward with Kim Poong sitting here," adding "he might understand our feelings," which drew laughter. Kim Poong is not from a chef background; he is a writer and broadcaster who is very interested in cooking.
Kim Poong also asked, "Is it possible to disguise yourselves as the kitchen's youngest hire overseas and have your new dish on the menu within five days?"
Kwon Seong-jun said, "It's absolutely impossible. It doesn't make sense," and added, "Do you know what I said when I first heard this from the producers? 'You really know nothing about cooking,' I told the producers."
Kim Poong sympathized, "I also said (even though I'm not a chef) that the production team thinks this industry too lightly." Sam Kim and Jeong Ji-seon added, "We thought there would at least be some setup, but they basically threw us in and ran away."
He even said, "In the morning when we arrived, all they did was say 'hello' and when we left they greeted us — that was it," adding, "We saw them only twice a day," and hearing this Kwon Seong-jun said, "It was almost abandonment," joking, "I asked the writers, '(If it's going to be like this) why did you come to Italy?'"
Kwon Seong-jun emphasized, "If they're not going to tell us anything, we could just watch videos from Korea. I begged them to give me a script. It's completely real," which added to the laughter. <
