Actor Gang Dong-won makes his first appearance on Study King: True Genius.
The leads of the film Wild Sing (director Son Jae-gon, distributed by Lotte Entertainment, produced by About Film), Gang Dong-won and Park Ji-hyun, are heading out on YouTube in earnest ahead of the release.
Sweeping away the heat, stress and laughter and generating buzz even before release, Wild Sing stars Gang Dong-won and Park Ji-hyun, who appear on YouTube channels to step up promotion.
Today (21st) at 6:15 p.m., Gang Dong-won, who plays Hyun Woo, the leader of "Triangle" and the dance machine, will appear on the YouTube channel Study King: True Genius Hong Jin Kyung. Known for focusing on his work and rarely appearing on variety shows, Gang Dong-won's mere appearance draws attention; the broadcast will feature Gang Dong-won and Hong Jin Kyung as well as Lee Ji Hye, Jang Young-ran and Nam Chang Hee for a lively dynamic. Set in a new mixed-gender dance group audition concept borrowed from the setting of Wild Sing, expectations are high for what kind of synergy Gang Dong-won will show among the unpredictable Hong Jin Kyung, Lee Ji Hye, Jang Young-ran and Nam Chang Hee.
Then on May 23 (Sat) at 9 a.m., a refreshing talk race will unfold on the YouTube channel DddeunDdeun-Pinggego (hereafter Pinggego). Drawing explosive reactions from the trailer alone, Pinggego will feature Gang Dong-won and Park Ji-hyun, who announced the birth of a new "comic queen" as Domi, the center and irresistible charm of "Triangle," appearing together to meet national MC Yu Jae-seok.
Returning to Pinggego after two years, the now more relaxed "second-time experienced member" Gang Dong-won and the unrestrainedly charming "question-bombing rookie member" Park Ji-hyun will showcase an extraordinary back-and-forth with polar opposite tensions. In particular, Oh Jung-se and Shin Ha Kyun, who also appear in Wild Sing, will appear to promote the drama Fifties Professionals, joining Gang Dong-won and Park Ji-hyun in one place. The unpredictable talk, unfolding in a special combination that crosses works and a free atmosphere, is expected to capture prospective audiences with unexpected chemistry and fresh laughter.
Meanwhile, Wild Sing is a comedy about a three-member mixed-gender dance group, Triangle, which once dominated the music scene but was suddenly disbanded overnight after an unexpected incident, and now makes a reckless attempt to seize a comeback opportunity that comes 20 years later; it opens on the 3rd of next month.
Starting as one of Korea's representative pretty boys and mastering every genre, Gang Dong-won plays Hyun Woo, the Triangle leader and dance machine who boasts an unmistakable aura and camera-ready visuals, leading the team. Strong presence actor Um Tae-goo plays Sang-gu, the youngest Triangle member and storm rapper who flaunts unstoppable swagger, and rising star Park Ji-hyun, active across films and series, plays Domi, the Triangle center who radiates refreshing energy and absolute charm. The unpredictable chemistry of the new actors meeting as idol members Triangle is the film's biggest draw. In addition, Oh Jung-se plays Seong-gon, a self-proclaimed eardrum boyfriend and a tragic ballad singer stuck at No. 2 for 39 consecutive weeks, injecting unique comedy and lively energy into the film.<
