Actor Park Se-young returns to the small screen after four years. It is also about a year after giving birth.
Park Se-young has been confirmed to be cast as the female lead "Na Ji-ni" in MBC's new daily drama "Family relationship certificate" (planned by Namgung Seong-woo, Chang Jae-hoon/director Kim Mi-sook/script by Park Ji-hyun) and has begun full-scale preparations for filming.
Family relationship certificate depicts the fierce survival of a woman who, from the moment she was born, bore the mark of tragedy, and who, fighting against the world's harsh prejudices, searches for the life she lost. In the drama, Park Se-young plays Na Ji-ni, a prospective writer majoring in Korean painting who possesses both beauty and talent.
Na Ji-ni appears outwardly like a greenhouse flower raised by artist parents without want, but she is a three-dimensional character who lives with deep, unspoken wounds inside. She is a character of "soft exterior, strong interior" who steadily moves toward her dream of producing K-animation.
So far Park Se-young has shown performances that freely traversed good and evil in dramas such as School 2013, My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol, Money Flower, and Whisper. Audiences are eager to see the new character she chose for this new work, her first choice in about four years since 2022's Mental Coach Jegal.
Family relationship certificate is scheduled to premiere on Monday, July 6, as the successor to the currently popular airing First man.
Meanwhile, Park Se-young married actor Kwak Jung-wook, whom she met through the drama School 2013, in February 2022. Later, she announced the birth of her daughter Na-el in May of last year and received many congratulations.<
