A large-scale project commemorating the band No Brain's 30th anniversary is getting underway. Junior artist Baeknaty reinterprets No Brain's classic "Whiskey Blues" and renders it in his own style.
Baeknaty's "Whiskey Blues," to be released on the 21st, is a track included on No Brain's seventh full-length album, released on April 28, 2016. This song, which highlights No Brain's characteristic rough yet romantic sensibility, was rearranged and reborn in Baeknaty's trendy and sensuous colors to commemorate No Brain's 30th anniversary this year.
Marking their 30th anniversary, this large-scale project is being carried out under the slogan "still noisily." It is expected to be a broad musical journey that commemorates No Brain's 30-year footsteps while organically connecting the past and present of the indie band scene.
Starting with Baeknaty, they plan to sequentially release collaborative recordings with various artists crossing genres, fully demonstrating the staying power of a legendary band in its 30th year.
In addition, No Brain will open the performance project with a Hongdae club tour, the team's first step and a symbol of indie culture, and will hold a large-scale solo concert to culminate the 30th anniversary, recreating the live spirit of Korea's rock spirit.
No Brain said, "This project was planned to enjoy noisily in the most No Brain way together with the fans who have stayed by our side unchanged for 30 years," and expressed confidence, saying, "Starting with the first recording with Baeknaty, 'Whiskey Blues,' we will once again ignite the indie scene's energy passionately around music and the stage, so please look forward to it."
Meanwhile, No Brain formed in October 1996 and released various hits such as "You fell for me," "Rain and you," "Burning youth," and "I'm lucky."
