Comedian Shin Gi-ru collapsed from a health issue while filming a mukbang.
On the 20th, a video titled "Went to raid Sokcho restaurants and my body got completely raided" was uploaded to the 'Mwo-Deun-Ha-Gi-Ru' channel. That day, Shin Gi-ru set out to explore restaurants in Sokcho.
After spending the first night in Goseong, the next morning Shin Gi-ru complained of poor condition, saying, "I was so sick yesterday that I couldn't eat anything all night, I ate a pork cutlet and took headache medicine, and now I'm trying to drag my sick body to tackle buckwheat noodles again."
Even in that condition, Shin Gi-ru continued the mukbang, and after moving to accommodation in Sokcho he kept eating. But on the last morning, Shin Gi-ru turned on the camera with an even darker complexion.
He complained of pain, saying, "Everyone, the situation now is that yesterday I ate daegu jeon and squid and even some raw grilled fish. My face is a mess right now. It's all swollen. As soon as I went into the room yesterday I coughed all night and my head hurt so much that I was supposed to check out today and had a meeting tonight, but if I drove like this I felt like I would die."
He added that he urgently canceled, saying, "So I hurriedly canceled and I'm going to go to a hospital now to get an IV and treatment, and because I have a schedule starting tomorrow I'm planning to go in the morning," announcing that he had even canceled the same-day schedule.
Shin Gi-ru wondered, "Could the champagne I drank yesterday have been the cause? I don't think so," then lamented, "So I'm stuck in Sokcho now, and being here is no different from being at home. I came to Sokcho and am holed up in the room like this. This is the situation. It looks like I'm going to get an IV in Sokcho," expressing his frustration. In the end he revealed, "After two days of gluttony, I spent a day fighting illness in the room."
