Actors Shin Ha Kyun and Oh Jung-se once again show chemistry.
On the 21st at MBC in Sangam, Mapo District, Seoul, a production presentation was held for the new Friday-Saturday drama Fifties Professionals. Director Han Dong-hwa attended the presentation along with actors Shin Ha Kyun, Oh Jung-se, Heo Sung-tae, Kim Shin-rock and Lee Hak-ju to talk.
Fifties Professionals is a work about three men who seemed ordinary but once had some edge being set in motion again by fate, and it previews a salty action comedy about true professionals who have lived 50% of their lives—though they may have been beaten by the world and their bodies rusted, their loyalty and instincts remain unchanged.
Shin Ha Kyun and Oh Jung-se are expected to show another entertaining chemistry in Fifties Professionals following Extreme Job and Wild Thing. Asked what kind of chemistry to expect, Shin Ha Kyun said, "First, the characters' relationships are not good. That's why it will be more fun."
Oh Jung-se added, "Actually, my previous works were shorter than expected. In this work, happily, I was able to work at length with a senior, so I felt secure, excited and enjoyed filming."
Shin Ha Kyun, Oh Jung-se and Heo Sung-tae are actors of similar ages, so a fresh chemistry is expected. Shin Ha Kyun said, "Their relationships in the drama are those of rivals. The point will be the process of the three blending together for a goal. Within that, the comedy and character settings will come out interestingly."
He continued, "First, Oh Jung-se is always new. He always shows characters in new ways, so you think, oh, he can be like this too—always new. Heo Sung-tae is taciturn, but on set he has prepared very different and diverse performances. I learned a lot from the two juniors and they are grateful colleagues," expressing his appreciation.
Oh Jung-se said, "Basically each has their own story and there is a point where the three come together. I hope the three come together soon. When is the next scene? I think everyone has been waiting to see them get together quickly and bicker, show friendship, or whatever the content may be."
Meanwhile, MBC's new drama Fifties Professionals will premiere at 9:50 p.m. on the 22nd.
