Christina, an Italian broadcaster from 'Ladies' Talk,' exposed program manipulation.
Recently, an episode titled "Reasons foreign soldiers were surprised when they came to Korea and did broadcasts. Abnormal talk" was released on the YouTube channel "PadoPado Studio."
Julian, a Belgian broadcaster who gained popularity through "Non-Summit" and others, opened his remarks by saying, "But what I remember is that when we filmed with family, the producers always said, 'Do this more, do that more' to try to create incidents."
In response, Christina said, "That's right. There always has to be conflict with the mother-in-law for the broadcast to be entertaining. There were really many cases like that," and added, "Honestly, we could accommodate it to some extent, but some programs wanted conflict so badly that we simply couldn't appear at all."
Then Julian asked, "So how far can I provide conflict, and how far can I not?" and Christina said, "I can do it to a light extent. For example, 'the food is bad,' 'I failed the test' — I can accept and do up to that level — but if it goes a little deeper to 'it's hard to live together' or 'our ways of thinking are too different,' then I don't think that's appropriate."
Christina went on to reveal her hardships at the time, saying, "Actually, I've lived with my mother-in-law for 20 years. But they always said things like that. If such conflicts had really existed, we wouldn't have been able to live together. Frankly, my personality is very bright. But they pushed a lot there."
Polish broadcaster Przemyslaw, who appeared with them, also attracted attention by saying, "I'm the same. There was a program I similarly refused because they tried to make it too serious. Even my mother-in-law said, 'This is too much. Let's not do this.'"
He shared his experience, saying, "Although I'm rather talkative, I don't deliberately bother people if they don't ask. But the way it was edited, we took a train from Seoul to Ulsan and during the train ride I was talking the whole time while my friends fell asleep, and it was shown as if I was making them uncomfortable. There's that kind of grievance."
