Singer and actor Rain protested he was wronged as he clarified a misunderstanding about Kim Tae-hee doing all the childcare alone.
The cable channel tvN entertainment program You Quiz on the Block on the 20th released a pre-release video on its official channel titled "Bi-ryong and steamed jjim-stealing Yoo Du-raegon's special chemistry. The story of misunderstandings after wife Tae-hee's You Quiz on the Block appearance."
Rain said about reuniting with Yu Jae-seok, with whom he performed as part of Ssukssuri, "When I was going to see hyung it felt a bit like 'I'm going to see him now,' like filming a movie," adding, "It's one of two things. Either he's going to be harsh on me today, roast me today, or praise me. It's one of the two. I'm excited but anxious," which drew laughter.
Then Yu Jae-seok smiled and asked Rain whether he had seen the episode his wife Kim Tae-hee appeared on earlier. Rain said, "I saw it. I have to mention that," and began, "I was holding her in bed watching it together. 'She did so well.' But there is what comes after that, you know."
Rain said, "She came out and, unintentionally, at the ending when she was talking about the stress of childcare and covered her mouth with tears in her eyes, it cut there," and added, "A lot of people called," attracting attention.
Rain explained, "People said, 'You don't help at home (with childcare)?' That's not true.. These days, short-form clips show someone tearing up and people ask, 'Why don't you help?'" and clarified, "I take care of dropping off and picking up at daycare; I have a role too."
Yu Jae-seok explained, "If you only see that, doesn't the difficulty of childcare seem to be placed almost entirely on Kim Tae-hee?"
Rain replied, "That's actually true. The kids look for their mother more than me," and Yu Jae-seok teased Rain, adding, "There are children who look for their father too." Rain said, embarrassed, "I watch 'You Quiz on the Block' every week, but it seems particularly harsh toward me," and Yu Jae-seok said, "That's true too," again teasing Rain and drawing laughter.
