Singer Kang Susie revealed that she found money 20 years old worth more than 2 million won by cleaning dormant bankbooks.
Kang Susie uploaded a video titled "you all, it seems like perfect weather to tidy up these days" on her personal YouTube channel "Living, Loving, Learning" on the 18th. In the video, Kang Susie revealed that she cleaned out years' worth of stored items for spring, including the pantry, old medicine, and discharged batteries in her home.
In particular, she said, "Don't you have unused bankbooks? I wondered if there might be 100 won, at most about 1,000 won left. There was a bankbook card and cash card made 20 years ago. I set a day to deal with them someday—to get rid of the card even if there was no money in the bankbook," revealing that she tidied dormant account bankbooks and cards.
Kang Susie said, "But those bankbooks turned out to be unused payment accounts. The bank staff were also so surprised, saying, 'You brought a 20-year-old card?' and there was 230,000 won in it. Don't you feel good when you find an unexpected 10,000 won in your coat pocket when you take your winter coat out? From then on I kept imagining how much would be in the next bankbook," she said with a laugh.
She even said in surprise, "But at the next bank I went to, there was 2 million won in the dormant account," and added, "You should bring the bankbooks you just have at home and sort them out quickly. Remove what you need to remove and close what you need to close. I had closed one account, but there was a foreign currency account. There was $30 in it. I received about 50,000 won."
Kang Susie added, "Since spring has come, it would be good to tidy up these old bankbooks and also clear out other things that have been sitting around. I checked my home and found seven or eight wallets. It would be good to throw away the old cards inside them."
