Group aespa member Winter will reappear on Tails of Tales.
On the 20th, OSEN reported that aespa member Winter, actor Shin Eun-jung and singer Shin Seong-eun recently finished recording SBS' Tails of Tales. Their segment is scheduled to air in June.
Tails of Tales (hereafter Kkokkomu) is a program in which three storytellers study on their own and convey what they felt to each of their "story friends" one-on-one in the most everyday spaces.
The Kkokkomu episode featuring Winter, Shin Eun-jung and Shin Seong-eun traces "Seon Pharmacy," which was in Wangsimni Haengdang Market in Seoul in the 1970s–90s. Kkokkomu's side tracked "Seon Pharmacy," "Seon Pharmacy burn ointment" and the pharmacist's current situation via its official social media in March.
Seon Pharmacy was a pharmacy that stood in front of Muhak Girls' High School in Seoul and gained fame for a burn ointment the pharmacist prepared himself. It was called a miraculous ointment, and many people shared vivid testimonies that drew attention, but in 2000, with drug separation regulations prohibiting pharmacists from independently preparing and selling medicines without prescriptions, Seon Pharmacy repeatedly relocated to regions not subject to the law and ultimately closed.
Winter will reappear on Kkokkomu about 10 months after appearing on the July 10 episode last year, "Death row inmate Oh Hwi-ung, 50 years of anguish." Winter, the only aespa member to have appeared on Kkokkomu, was amazed by the story's repeated twists and turns and deeply empathized with the bereaved family's sense of injustice, acting as a "sympathy fairy" and a "reaction fairy."
Singer Shin Seong-eun, who appeared on the March 2024 episode "1977, the vanished city and the barefoot man" and the September 2024 episode "The emperor's secret envoy," is expected to appear as an experienced Kkokkomu storyteller. Actor Shin Eun-jung will appear as a newcomer Kkokkomu storyteller, and attention is on what kind of reactions and empathy she will bring to increase immersion in her first appearance.
SBS' Tails of Tales airs every Thursday at 10:20 p.m.
