MC MONG expressed resentment over allegations including illegal gambling surrounding him. He alleges that the MBC 'PD Notebook' production team and TV CHOSUN reporters who reported the allegations received improper solicitations from illegal informants.
On the 20th MC MONG turned on a live broadcast on his social media and continued additional disclosures. That day MC MONG said "A valuable tip has come in. The tipster is a precious and important person. We must protect them, but there are criminals who abuse this and groups that collude with them," and began, "They make me out to be a sex worker, make me out to be someone who had sleeping medication prescribed on my behalf, and even make me out to be a drug offender."
He said, "If you don't verify, you are not a news organization. If you collude with a tipster and receive something from the tipster, then you are not a news organization," and named the MBC 'PD Notebook' production team, adding, "They go to Las Vegas. To cover me. It's fine to cover Las Vegas. It's their freedom. They go to Las Vegas and conspire while having meals paid for by false tipsters. Someone who saw that situation even tipped me about a producer entering a Chinese restaurant. Do you know what this is? It's a violation of the prohibition on solicitation. They eat meals and conspire with criminal friends," he claimed.
He also said a TV CHOSUN reporter who reported on the alleged U.S. gambling trip had a meal with A, the source of the false rumor before the report. MC MONG said, "The day I was treated to a meal by A, a TV CHOSUN reporter texted me. They said there is a gambling tab receipt. They claim there is testimony from a personal assistant who accompanied the schedule, but there is no former personal assistant," and added, "They said that in 2022, 2 billion won received as investment money was squandered on gambling and that (partner) B covered it by receiving an advance on a performance and paid back the 2 billion won. So I replied, 'How can you kill someone like during the military service corruption case. I'm so wronged I can't live. Please stop,'" he revealed.
He rebutted, "What I'm really wronged about is that they say I gambled with the kids' performance fees, but from Million Market I didn't even use the corporate card and grew the company by selling copyrights. When I sold copyrights I did so because I worried the company might not be able to pay employees' salaries. At that Million Market time the company's salaries were never late. How can a person do that. How could I gamble with the kids' performance fees?" He also expressed resentment, saying, "I was a salaried worker."
He claimed that a female acquaintance who was accused of prostitution contacted him saying, "That day when oppa went with his girlfriend and my friends to drink wine together they made me out to be a strange prostitute and contacted me asking me to testify, saying they would give me any amount of money at A's house," and repeatedly emphasized that the rumors surrounding him were all fabricated.
Meanwhile, MC MONG first spoke directly on the 19th via a live broadcast about allegations of illegal gambling using company operating funds, infidelity rumors, and payment disputes between One Hundred and affiliated entertainers. At the time MC MONG also appealed that all the controversies were fabricated by A. Amid this, he continued to claim in an additional live broadcast that A colluded with media figures. However, because the facts have not yet been confirmed, public reaction is divided.<
