The group ILLIT showed a sharp rise on the U.S. Billboard charts, proving their strength as a "global trend." The title track of their fourth mini album, "It's Me," has leapt up global chart rankings and captivated music fans around the world.
On the latest chart released by Billboard on May 23, ILLIT (Yoonah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, Iroha)'s fourth mini album "MAMIHLAPINATAPAI" (MAMIHLAPINATAPAI) title track "It's Me" ranked 32 on the "Global (excluding U.S.)" chart and 67 on the "Global 200" chart. That represents a vertical climb of 23 and 37 spots, respectively, compared with last week, fully proving the global market's hot interest in ILLIT.
Their showing on the detailed charts is even more dazzling. "It's Me" placed eighth on Billboard's "World Digital Song Sales" and 15th on "Hot Dance/Electronic Songs." The album also showed strong power, with the fourth mini album "MAMIHLAPINATAPAI" ranking second on "World Albums," 10th on "Top Dance/Electronic Albums," and 14th on "Top Album Sales." It is very encouraging that both the digital and physical releases are evenly breaking their own career highs even in their second week since release.
On major domestic music platforms' latest weekly charts (tracking period May 11–17), they swept the top ranks with Bugs at No. 2, Melon at No. 4, and Jini at No. 8. They then landed at No. 10 on Spotify Japan's "Weekly Top Songs" and No. 16 on Line Music's weekly chart, generating explosive reactions across the island nation. They ranked 13 on YouTube's global "Weekly Music" chart and have maintained a steady presence on Apple Music's "Today's Top 100" global chart, demonstrating powerful streaming strength.
This popularity trend was also clearly demonstrated at offline university festival venues. ILLIT took the stage at Korea University on the 19th and passionately sang their new song "It's Me." Their characteristically addictive melody and even more powerful performance truly ignited the audience's dopamine and prompted historic group singing and screams.
The highlight of that performance was a surprise collaboration stage. ILLIT cleverly mashed up their songs "It's Me" and "CELEBRATION" and performed the stage together with members of LE SSERAFIM, seniors from HYBE Labels. Their unexpectedly realized, once-in-a-lifetime joint performance literally turned the festival venue upside down and has been drawing attention online. Captivating Korea University, ILLIT will ride the momentum to appear at Chung-Ang University on the 21st and Sejong University on the 22nd.
