Actor Yum Jung-ah will appear in the third season of Fresh off the Sea alongside Kim Sunyoung, Kang Youseok and Roh Yoon-seo.
Fresh off the Sea, which first aired on tvN in 2024 (directed by Kim Se-hee), is an entertainment show that captures a variety-filled journey, from the many different seaside jobs to seasonal meals that can only be tasted there. From season 1 through season 2 and a spin-off, it established itself as tvN's flagship mega IP, and it captured both ratings and public attention with its seasonally rich imagery and the authentic family chemistry of the four siblings.
In season 3, new faces have joined centered on Yum Jung-ah. With Kim Sunyoung, Kang Youseok and Roh Yoon-seo, a fresh combination rarely seen in existing variety shows has been completed.
Yum Jung-ah will once again play the central role in Fresh off the Sea 3 as "Commander Yum," who flawlessly handles everything from work to cooking. As the lively big-sister figure, she will lead the new younger cast members and show a different charm from previous seasons. Attention is also on Roh Yoon-seo's first regular appearance on a variety show. Roh Yoon-seo, regarded as an MZ세대 icon, joins this season as the youngest and is expected to display adorable charm. The hidden ties and relationships among the four are also noteworthy. Yum Jung-ah and Kim Sunyoung previously worked together in the drama Love, Take Two; Kim Sunyoung and Roh Yoon-seo share a connection from Crash Course in Romance; and Kang Youseok and Roh Yoon-seo were both credited in Black Knight. How these relationships will be revealed on Fresh off the Sea is attracting attention.
The production team of Fresh off the Sea 3 said Yum Jung-ah will be at the center and that viewers can look forward to the new fun brought by the new faces, adding that it will become more variety-driven and, amid a boisterous, holiday-like atmosphere, authentic family chemistry will be added.
