Actress Go So-young revealed that she dated Jang Dongkeon in her 20s before marriage.

Go So-young said, "We were really friends, and after 'Yeonpungyeonga' ended, romantic feelings developed so we met briefly, but we were both too busy," adding, "I thought we might lose our friendship if this continued, so we went back to being just friends."
She added, "We contacted each other occasionally, and when we did there was always some affection. It wasn't 'I can't forget this person.' And each of us probably dated others, I guess," she said, bringing laughter.
Saying, "Marriage seems to be about timing," Go So-young said, "As time passed I was mentally exhausted and my husband also had a period when his films kept getting delayed and it was a difficult time."
She continued, "I was in my mid-30s and thought, 'If I don't get married now something terrible will happen.' I thought this friend was successful and wouldn't be thinking about marriage, but his family pushed him at home and he said he wanted to get married."
Go So-young said, "Then we met again after a long time in Los Angeles, U.S. By chance we were wearing the same t-shirt," and joked, "At that time my husband was staying abroad for filming, so our relationship started over the phone. The phone bills were a few hundred thousand won."
Finally, Go So-young said, "We met after returning to Korea, but our lifestyles didn't match. I thought it wouldn't work, so I said let's go back to being friends, and he changed his (lifestyle). He adjusted. I thought he was serious about dating me, and after dating like that we married after two years."
Meanwhile, Go So-young debuted in 1992 with the drama "Tomorrow Is Love" and married actor Jang Dongkeon in 2010; they have one son and one daughter.
