Group LE SSERAFIM member Kim Chaewon thrilled fans by showcasing her vocal abilities and unleashing major spoilers of her upcoming comeback album.
Kim Chaewon made a surprise appearance on the music content series "Limousine Service," released on the YouTube channel KBS Kpop on the 19th. Visiting the program that felt like home roughly four years after her appearance early in her debut, Kim Chaewon showcased noticeably grown vocal abilities and a newfound sense of composure.
That day Kim Chaewon opened the show in spectacular fashion with the solo version of "CELEBRATION," the lead single pre-released last month and a track on the full-length second album due on the 22nd. Although the song is sung by all five members, she filled the stage with sweet and steady vocals, and in the subsequent talk she brought up the new album, drawing the attention of fans worldwide.
Kim Chaewon said, "There are many songs about relationships between the members," and performed live on the spot the previously veiled track No. 6, "How can we date more?", eliciting admiration. The song was written by member Heo Yunjin based on feelings she felt in her relationships with the members, and its sincere narrative about understanding and getting closer to one another despite different personalities and ways of expressing themselves met Kim Chaewon's clear tone to create a perfect synergy.
Kim Chaewon's boundless musical spectrum and distinctive tone then adorned the stage. She showcased her clear voice with a cover of Olivia Dean's "So Easy (To Fall In Love)," and delivered a sensuous live performance across genres from T-ara's hit medley to AKMU's "Joy, Sorrow, Beautiful Heart," and HANRORO's "Biteul Biteul Jjakjjakkoong." MC Lee Mujin praised her without holding back, saying, "You can feel many levels have been upgraded. She seems much more composed than at debut."
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM, of which Kim Chaewon is a member, will release the full-length second album "PUREFLOW" pt.1 at 1 p.m. on the 22nd.
