Singer Soyou spoke candidly about plastic surgery rumors and her diet.
On the 19th, a new episode of "Kanjeolhanip" was released on the YouTube channel Studio Suje under the title "Spicy expert vs. spice wimp. Soyou blows away three days of MV shooting stress with octopus stir-fry made with cheongyang peppers 30 times hotter."
MC Kim Ji-yoo, who met Soyou, said, "Looking at the photos, to me it looks like a perfected figure, but I heard she continues to work hard anyway." Soyou drew attention for reportedly losing 20 kg.
Regarding that, Soyou said, "Before shooting the music video, the plan was to build muscle to 23–24 kg. I did a lot of weight training starting last November. So I went from 48 gk to 52 kg, I gained 3 kg of muscle. The fat came off," and added, "48 kg was when I debuted."
She continued, "In my early 20s, if I wanted to lose weight it would drop quickly in a month if I set my mind to it. Now it doesn't work. You have to give it a year or at least six months," she said, complaining about the difficulties of dieting.
Then Kim Ji-yoo mentioned comment responses about Soyou after her diet such as "Mounjaro, Wegovy" and "had plastic surgery," and asked, "Isn't that unfair?"
Soyou said, "Honestly, there's so much to say if you go into it that way. I didn't know anything about procedures in the past. Ultherapy and Thermage are things you have to do. I'm so afraid of needles that when one was brought in… my blood pressure dropped and I once vomited," and added, "A comment that stuck with me was, 'You have phobias, but don't you have a mass phobia?' They say I had plastic surgery. I clearly said on broadcast that I had nose surgery," she said frankly.
She then expressed her belief about maintaining a healthy figure: "One principle I've kept since last year is that personal training is expensive. I make sure to fill the three hours even if it feels wasteful. I like the act of exercising itself," she said.
