"Ji Ye-eun sees Yu Jae-seok differently."
On the 19th, a press conference for the Netflix variety show "Yu Jae-seok Camp" was held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
"Yu Jae-seok Camp" is a group camping variety show in which rookie camp owner Yu Jae-seok and unpredictable staff Lee Kwangsoo, Byeon Woo-seok and Ji Ye-eun chatter with, play with and fool around with the guests to complete an escape from daily life. Setting aside for a moment the irreplaceable Yu Jae-seok's smooth hosting, the large-scale communal camp in which he becomes a somewhat sloppy rookie camp owner is expected to offer special enjoyment amid cheerful laughter.
All day long, the hectic "rookie boss" Yu Jae-seok; the "drill sergeant" Lee Kwangsoo, who is responsible for the guests' laughter and discipline; Byeon Woo-seok, a warm, sweet man in charge of guests' healing who is somewhat loose but has a surprising charm as the "bungling great man"; and the youngest but the only one with guesthouse experience, the experienced "true-friend maker" Ji Ye-eun, who forges deep bonds with the guests, lead "Yu Jae-seok Camp."
Yu Jae-seok said, "Lee Kwangsoo and Ji Ye-eun have done a lot of variety shows, and I wondered how Byeon Woo-seok, who is new to variety shows, would do, but everyone was really fun. They gave their best and liked Lee Kwangsoo a lot. As a younger one, I had never seen someone tease and bother Lee Kwangsoo like that. Ji Ye-eun also liked Lee Kwangsoo so much that I wonder what it would have been like without him." Byeon Woo-seok said, "I was very nervous because it was my first time doing a long-form variety show, but everyone made me feel so comfortable that I could relax and do it a little more easily," and Ji Ye-eun said, "In reality I had only met Yu Jae-seok before and it was my first time meeting Lee Kwangsoo and Byeon Woo-seok, so I wondered if we could become close. But just seeing their faces made me laugh, and I was happy."
Lee Kwangsoo, the "center of chemistry," said, "Ji Ye-eun says I am a role model in her life, so I will show a lot of good sides," and added, "I thought a lot about how Yu Jae-seok is the heart of this camp. Even after recording, he kept talking about the camp and worrying about what might make guests uncomfortable, and watching that made me feel he was sincere. When we welcomed the first guests, we could also be more sincere."
Byeon Woo-seok said, "Because Yu Jae-seok led by example, I was able to work harder and become more immersed. We could all give our best and follow him." Ji Ye-eun said, "On other variety shows you don't stay together all the time, so during this two-night, three-day period people kept saying Yu Jae-seok is Yu Jae-seok. He is truly sincere, and I wondered whether Yu Jae-seok was such a warm person. He is my ideal type in my heart."
At this, Yu Jae-seok caused laughter by saying, "My boyfriend is Bata."
The Netflix variety show "Yu Jae-seok Camp" will begin releasing episodes 1–5 on the 26th, followed by episodes 6–10 on June 2 over two weeks.
