Actor Byeon Woo-seok shared his thoughts on joining the "Yu Jae-seok camp."
On the 19th, at JW Marriott Dongdaemun in Jongno-gu, Seoul, a production presentation for the Netflix variety show "Yu Jae-seok camp" was held.
"Yu Jae-seok camp" is a group camping variety show in which novice camp leader Yu Jae-seok and unpredictable staff Lee Kwangsoo, Byeon Woo-seok, and Ji Ye-eun chatter with, play with, and clown around with guests to complete an escape from everyday life. Irreplaceable Yu Jae-seok temporarily sets aside his smooth hosting to become a somewhat clumsy novice camp leader, and the large-scale togetherness camp he runs is expected to offer special enjoyment amid cheerful laughter.
All day long, the busy "novice boss" Yu Jae-seok; the "drill sergeant" Lee Kwangsoo, who is responsible for guests' laughter and discipline; Byeon Woo-seok, a warm, sweet man responsible for guests' healing who also has a loose, unexpected charm as the "bungling major"; and Ji Ye-eun, the youngest but the only experienced lodgings staff who creates deep bonds with guests as the "close-friend maker" lead "Yu Jae-seok camp."
Yu Jae-seok said, "When I first received the proposal, I thought that while creating entertainment as a program for a large number of people over 2 nights and 3 days was important, I wanted them to feel safe, healthy, and happy together. With that in mind, we started."
Lee Kwangsoo said, "Even before I received the offer, I saw on a broadcast that they were doing 'Yu Jae-seok camp' and recruiting guests. I thought it was novel, and I was excited to be part of it. I had about a 10% feeling that I would be contacted. I thought the casting was already finished and felt a bit disappointed, but fortunately they offered it to me. I was also looking forward to the members I would be working with, so I joined with gratitude and excitement."
Byeon Woo-seok said, "I love watching variety shows so much, and I was excited because I thought I could show a new side of myself for the first time. I waited with excitement at the prospect of working with Yu Jae-seok, Lee Kwangsoo, and Ji Ye-eun, and we filmed with that feeling."
Ji Ye-eun said, "When I was told I would join, I was excited and thrilled, and I had high expectations even before going to the camp, and I was able to enjoy it wholeheartedly. I hope people enjoy seeing a relaxed and natural side of me."
The Netflix variety show "Yu Jae-seok camp" will begin releasing episodes 1–5 on the 26th, and will release episodes 6–10 on June 2 over the course of two weeks.
