Actress Angelina Jolie's daughter Zahara sent a chilly message to her father Brad Pitt once again.
On the 18th (local time), Page Six reported that Zahara, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, graduated from Spelman College over the weekend and omitted her father's surname "Pitt" when she went on stage to receive her diploma.
According to the report, 21-year-old Zahara earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Atlanta-based college. At the graduation ceremony she was introduced as Zahara Marlee Jolie.
This was not the first time Zahara omitted the estranged Brad Pitt's surname at a public event. When she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha organization in 2023, she introduced herself as "Zahara Marlee Jolie." In the girls' club induction video she shouted her name while performing several moves.
Not only Zahara but also Angelina Jolie's eldest son Maddox is known to use Jolie rather than Pitt in noncourt documents.
Also in 2024, their youngest daughter Vivienne worked with her mother on a Broadway adaptation and was listed as "Vivienne Jolie" in the performance program book, removing Pitt's surname. Shiloh also removed Pitt from her surname on her 18th birthday, formalizing it.
Divorced Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have six children. Jolie adopted Maddox in Cambodia in 2002 and adopted Zahara three years later. Pitt legally adopted the two children in December 2005, becoming their father.
Jolie also adopted 3-year-old Pax from Vietnam in 2007, and the two had Shiloh in 2006 and twin Knox and Vivienne in 2008. According to foreign reports, all six children have kept their distance from their father since Pitt and Jolie separated in 2016.
A representative for Brad Pitt said of the "strained relationship" with his children, "It caused him great pain, and he is carrying a deep emotional burden."
