The group 82MAJOR has proven its fierce global growth by flawlessly taking over Hong Kong following Korea, Japan and Europe.
According to agency Great M Entertainment on the 19th, the 82MAJOR (Nam Seong-mo·Park Seok-jun·Yoon Ye-chan·Jo Seong-il·Hwang Seong-bin·Kim Do-gyun) solo concert '비범 : BE 범' scheduled to be held in Hong Kong on June 27 sold out immediately upon ticket opening.
The concert sold out as soon as reservations opened on the 15th, underscoring their local popularity. Local fans who could not get tickets flooded the agency with fervent requests and inquiries for additional performances, and the agency decided to add an extra performance on June 28 to repay the fans' support. As a result, 82MAJOR will meet local fans in Hong Kong over two days.
Having built solid stage skills with performances beginning in Seoul, Korea and touring five European countries and Japan, 82MAJOR recorded sellouts for the Amsterdam show during their European tour and now for the Hong Kong show, fully demonstrating strong ticket power as an emerging "performance-oriented idol."
Meanwhile, 82MAJOR recently saw its follower count on major Chinese social media channels surge by more than 10,000 in just one week. They also won the "Overseas Group with potential of the year" at China's Weibo International Entertainment Awards, earning recognition for their distinctive stardom in the local market.
Their recently released fifth mini album FEELM was completed with all members directly participating in lyrics, composition and arrangement, raising its level of perfection, and it achieved a career high with first-week sales surpassing their previous release. In addition, it reached No. 1 on overseas iTunes charts and secured a top position on China's NetEase Music charts, vividly showcasing the capability of this talented "self-producing idol."
