Comedian Lee Suji delivered a reality-relatable episode as a daycare teacher side character. Discussions about improving working conditions came up, but the reality of work that doesn't end even after leaving work drew bittersweet sympathy.
On the 19th a video titled "Kindergarten teacher Lee Min Ji's day off [human documentary Extreme Job]" was released on the YouTube channel 'Hot Issue.'
That day Lee Suji appeared as the daycare teacher "Lee Min Ji" character and revealed her third daily routine. First, Lee Suji said, "After the broadcast aired, there were many comments that kindergarten teachers' working conditions need to be improved." She added, "The director tells us to go home right after weekend care ends. I work comfortably," and laughed, "Today I'll go home and take my own time. Thanks to that."
But the peaceful commute home did not last long. On the way home Lee Suji was carrying large loads in both hands. About this, Lee Suji explained, "May is family month so there are a lot of events, from Children's Day and Parents' Day to Teachers' Day," and "I'm taking things home to prepare for the events." She even said, "We commemorate Buddha's birthday and World Turtle Day too," conveying the exhausting reality of endlessly preparing for events, which elicited laughter.
An unexpected action was captured on what should have been a joyful commute home. Lee Suji suddenly looked around and walked hiding. About this she said, "Because it's the neighborhood I could run into parents," and "I should greet them brightly, but I'm not prepared right now." She added, "I always want to show parents a perfect appearance."
