Singer Lee Sun-hee revealed why she made a dramatic transformation 40 years after her debut.
On the 17th, a video titled 'Meeting singer Lee Sun-hee, who returned with the new song "Now I Can See Love"!!' released on the YouTube channel "My Keum-hee" contained the second conversation between Lee Keum-hee and Lee Sun-hee.
Lee Sun-hee revealed her way of managing her emotions: "When my mind boils, it's not fun, but I just walk." In fact, Lee Sun-hee is known for frequently walking in the Hangang citizen park. Lee Keum-hee added, "If you walk along the Han River, you might meet Ms. Lee Sun-hee."
Lee Sun-hee added, "Sometimes I travel alone, and sometimes I suddenly take out all my clothes and organize them. If you repeat those actions, calmness comes. And then a melody comes to mind," adding to the poignancy.
"If it's Lee Sun-hee, I know there's music to expect," she said, adding that her challenge to become a DJ was in a similar vein. It was her own kind of deviation, and at the same time she discovered creativity in repetitive musical acts.
She explained, "Originally I liked metal and hard rock. Recently I've been into the repetitive beats of EDM and the bass house genre. Being a DJ is not simply playing music; it's a creative work of matching and transforming music."
She said, "I've done music for 40 years, but as a DJ I'm a rookie. Rather than fear, I had a greater desire to meet other musicians. I was curious how diverse this market is. I wondered what kind of people enjoy this music. I wanted to gauge how capable I am. Fortunately, I was told that my skill is 'good enough to show.'"
About the change in hairstyle, she laughed, "The people who help with my hair said it was hard to style because there was no natural wave. I got a perm just to make styling easy, and this hairstyle came out, and I thought let's just live like this." Lee Keum-hee chimed in, "You really did well," supporting Lee Sun-hee.
Lee Sun-hee released the new song 'Now I Can See Love' last month and is meeting fans.
