Former baseball player turned businessman Yang Jun-hyuk mentioned the difficult past of his mother who supported him.

The one who suffered the most for her son's dream of becoming a baseball player was his mother. He said, "My mother started as a domestic worker, then cleaned motels, sold pickled radish at the market, and did other work," and added, "So I worked twice as hard. From a young age I thought, 'I will succeed and lift up the family.'"
Baseball junior Kim Tae Kyun said, "I wasn't well-off either, but I built an indoor practice facility on the roof of my house and practiced," and Jun Hyun-moo compared the emotional gap with a laugh, saying, "He said he'd do it even if he had to beg, but an indoor practice facility?"
Also that day Yang said his time with the Samsung Lions was the best moment of his life, and expressed gratitude, saying, "I was the No. 3 hitter who made the cleanup hitter Seung-yeop shine. Because Seung-yeop did well and his salary rose to about 600 million won, my salary went up from 140 million won to about 400 million won. All of my salary increase was thanks to Seung-yeop."
