TWICE member Jeongyeon cried as she expressed gratitude to her older sister, actress Gong Seung-yeon.
Cable channel tvN's variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' released a short video on the 17th on its official channel with the caption, "Jeongyeon's most difficult time. Gong Seung-yeon, who was always a support by her side."
Through the video, Jeongyeon conveyed her affectionate feelings to her older sister Gong Seung-yeon, who appeared on You Quiz on the Block. First, regarding her hiatus from activities in 2020 due to health issues, Jeongyeon said, "I relied on my sister a lot. It was a mentally difficult time, so my sister held me and said, 'Your body is a bit strange. You should go to the hospital,' and that's how I learned the exact diagnosis."
She continued, "I had never heard the word Cushing before, so thanks to my sister, the treatment went well and I became healthy, so I am very grateful," and thanked Gong Seung-yeon.
Then Jeongyeon said, "First of all, I'm so happy that my sister is so hot and doing so well these days. I'm so grateful that she became my real sister. I'm overwhelmed. I'm thankful and sorry," and she cried.
Gong Seung-yeon also cried while watching her younger sister's video. Gong Seung-yeon wiped her tears with a laugh and said, "I didn't know she would tell me something like this. I'm sorry I hit you."
Gong Seung-yeon described the situation during Jeongyeon's illness, saying, "At that time Jeongyeon was having a very hard time, and I was extremely anxious leaving her alone. I kept visiting even when she was living in the dorm, had her stay at my house, and just wanted to keep her by my side. So I told her to live with me."
Gong Seung-yeon expressed special affection for Jeongyeon, saying, "I'm so grateful that you overcame it now. Hearing that my younger sister has become so pretty and has regained her prime makes me very happy. My sister is someone who does everything properly, and she's good at what she does, so I trust her without a doubt."
