The film "Gunchae" heated up the Cannes Film Festival.
On the 17th, the film Gunchae (director Yeon Sang-ho, produced/distributed by SHOWBOX, produced by Wowpoint·Smilegate, co-produced by Midnight Studio) released official photos from the film's official photocall after being officially invited to the midnight screening at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
Gunchae, which opens on the 21st, is a film about survivors isolated inside a building sealed off by an unidentified infectious outbreak who confront infected people evolving into unpredictable forms. In particular, it is Yeon Sang-ho's third zombie film following Train to Busan and Peninsula, raising expectations.
Among them, director Yeon Sang-ho and Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Changwook, Shin Hyun-been and Kim Shin-rock held a photocall as their first official Cannes event ahead of the official screening. Before entering the photocall, festival director Thierry Frémaux personally met the director and actors to offer words of encouragement and exchanged special conversation.
