O'FAN HOUSE Co., the publisher of the MBC Friday-Saturday drama Perfect Crown's script book, said on its official social media on the 16th that "we are consulting with the production team regarding some ceremonial expressions that the production team officially announced and warned would be revised. The publisher takes the matter seriously, will provide a separate notice to readers who preordered the first edition, and will revise and reflect the expressions in subsequent printings," it said in an official statement.
However, the Perfect Crown script book's first edition has already been produced and shipped. For customers who purchased the first edition, from the 18th the publisher will provide the corrected pages as PDF files through its Instagram account. Physical correction stickers that can be affixed to the book will be provided and mailed to readers who apply.
Refunds are also possible. However, they will be processed according to the seller's rules and procedures. The publisher of the Perfect Crown script book added, "We sincerely apologize once again for causing confusion and inconvenience to our readers."
In the 11th episode of Perfect Crown broadcast on the 15th, the male lead who ascended the throne, Grand Prince Iaan (Byeon Woo-seok), wore the guryumyeonryugwan and participated in the coronation ceremony. Also, the officials who attended the coronation shouted "cheonse." In the past in Joseon, the guryumyeonryugwan and cheonse were interpreted as evidence that Jeju State was subordinated to an imperial state. On the 16th, the Perfect Crown production team apologized on its official website, saying, "We bow our heads and sincerely apologize to the many viewers who watched the drama with affection and were worried by the issues over worldbuilding and historical verification. We take viewers' criticism that the scene in which the king wears the 'guryumyeonryugwan' at his coronation and officials shout 'cheonse' damages Korea's sovereign status seriously," it said. The production also deleted the shouting of "cheonse" in the rebroadcast of episode 11 aired the same day.

The physical correction stickers will be made in a form that can be affixed to the book and will be mailed to readers who apply.
The Google form will be open for about two weeks, and after the application deadline the stickers will be produced and mailed in a single batch.
