Singer and actress Son Dam-bi explained why she bought expensive furniture.
On the 15th, a video titled [First release] Son Dam-bi's sensibility-driven emotional interior completed by her own legwork was posted on the YouTube channel "DambiSon."
That day Son Dam-bi revealed the interior she completed over three months. She said she had changed everything to eco-friendly items for her daughter Hae-yi and said, "I was very worried about new house syndrome and allergies, but there is no new house smell."
Son Dam-bi introduced the living room, master bedroom and kitchen, then the second-floor room for her daughter Hae-yi. The pink-filled room had a wall full of books and a colorful bedroom and play area.
And a piece of furniture for storing toys located by the picture window caught the eye. Son Dam-bi said, "This is actually something a lot of people ask about. Mothers do. But my older sister and the CEO didn't want to design this cabinet," she said. The interior designer added, "From below it might look like this cabinet isn't pretty so they didn't want to design it, but when we actually designed it it turned out very pretty."
She continued, "We made a Hae-yi toy zone like this, and when Hae-yi grows up she will stand up and sit on these cushions, and couldn't it be noisy? Because the first floor can resonate, we made it a window that can block sound."
Son Dam-bi expressed satisfaction, saying, "I made the picture window so that noise wouldn't interfere with sleep, and it feels very open and pretty."
In particular, while introducing the furniture Son Dam-bi candidly said, "People tend to put a lot of emphasis on expensive things, but to me the most important thing is not that it's expensive but how long you can use it."
She added, "There are a lot of questions like 'She's 11 months old now, do you really need to buy something like this?' But it's not for now; Hae-yi can use this furniture even when she's a middle school student. That's actually the main purpose. When I bought this I thought about that as well. It wasn't bought for now. What would she know?"
