The group Cortis (CORTIS) is continuing an unstoppable run in the music industry with the title track "REDRED." The rookie, who debuted less than a year ago, has swept not only the top spots on terrestrial music shows but also major global music markets such as the U.S. Billboard and the U.K. Official Charts.
Cortis (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Geonho) lifted the No. 1 trophy with the title track "REDRED" from their mini album 2 on KBS 2TV MUSIC BANK, which aired on the 15th. This is especially meaningful as it marks their first No. 1 on a terrestrial music show since debut.
With this, Cortis achieved the great feat of sweeping five music show wins—three consecutive No. 1s on Mnet's M Countdown, MBC M·MBC every1's Show! Champion, and MUSIC BANK.
The members said, "We haven't even been debuted for a year yet, and we love the fans who gave us such a wonderful award. "REDRED" has repeatedly reached the top of melon's "Top 100" chart. On Melon's daily chart, it firmly held third place for four consecutive days, and on Bugs' daily chart it is maintaining the unshakable No. 1. The album and retail album each swept first place on the latest weekly Circle Chart.
Also, Cortis became the first K-pop boy group that debuted within the past five years to enter Spotify's daily and weekly charts, continuing a long-running success. On the latest "Weekly Top Songs Global" chart, they placed 78th for three consecutive weeks, and monthly listeners surpassed 11.17 million, earning them a spot in the "top 4" by the highest-ever listener counts for K-pop boy groups.
In addition, they rose to 17th on the U.S. Billboard "Bubbling Under Hot 100," putting them on the brink of entering the main song chart the "Hot 100," and they swept across Asia with No. 1 on Billboard Japan's "Hitseekers Songs" and No. 3 on China's QQ Music new song chart (charting for 25 consecutive days).
