Actor Park Jeongmin and YouTuber Dangun will provide strong support for director Yeon Sangho.
On the 22nd (Fri) at 7:30 p.m., CGV Yeongdeungpo will host a "Gunche explanation meeting" GV with director Yeon Sangho, actor Park Jeongmin, YouTuber Dangun and reporter Lee Hwajeong.
"Gunche" (director Yeon Sangho, distributed/financed by SHOWBOX, produced by Wowpoint (WOWPOINT), Smilegate, co-produced by Midnight Studio) is a film about isolated survivors trapped inside a building sealed off by a mysterious infection who confront infected people evolving into unpredictable forms.
At the first GV for "Gunche," to be held at CGV Yeongdeungpo on the 22nd (Fri) at 7:30 p.m., Park Jeongmin, the lead of director Yeon Sangho's previous film "Face," and YouTuber Dangun, who hosted the "Face" GV, will attend. They have come together once again to support director Yeon Sangho.
"Gunche" is a new-concept zombie genre film from zombie master director Yeon Sangho that presents the birth of a species never seen before, offering a fast-paced genre thrill while posing questions about humanity and collectivity, drawing attention. Accordingly, the "Gunche explanation meeting" GV, to be moderated by reporter Lee Hwajeong, is expected to cover a variety of stories related to "Gunche."
In particular, chemistry with Park Jeongmin, who received praise for his sharp thematic sensibility and solid craftsmanship in director Yeon Sangho's acclaimed film "Face," in which he gave a powerful performance playing both the young Im Younggyu and his son Im Donghwan in dual roles, also draws attention. Park Jeongmin recently won the best acting award at the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards for "Face." It raises curiosity about what stories he and director Yeon Sangho will share when they meet again.
Furthermore, since YouTuber Dangun, who heated up the event at the "Face" GV with witty back-and-forth banter with director Yeon Sangho and Park Jeongmin and in-depth discussion of the work, will join this time as well, the "Gunche" GV is expected to present a cheerful chemistry and engaging stories while interacting with the audience.
Meanwhile, "Gunche," starring Jun Ji-hyun as well as Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Changwook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rock and Go Soo, will be released domestically on the 21st.
