Comedian Yang Sang-guk apologized for the recent conduct controversy.
On the 15th, KBS2's Problem Child in House uploaded next week's episode preview on its official channel. Although the preview had been uploaded earlier on the 13th, it was suddenly deleted, raising questions. It was confirmed that this was a mishap by KBS after the preview was uploaded earlier than scheduled.
Meanwhile, the released preview showed singer and actress VV and Yang Sang-guk visiting the rooftop room. In response, Kim Sook mentioned Yang Sang-guk's popularity, saying, "Sangguk is currently acting as the rustic icon, the king of Gimhae."
He asked, "Is he really that popular?" and Yang Sang-guk boasted of the warm reaction in his hometown, saying, "Even when I'm passing by in a car, people shout, 'Oh my, it's Yang Sang-guk!'."
Then Joo Woo-jae pointed out the recent conduct controversy, saying, "The publicity is big and the controversy is big, too." When asked, "What happened?" Yang Sang-guk confessed, "Actually, I'm originally very introverted, so for broadcast I tend to go a bit overboard, and I said, 'Men don't escort women home like people from Seoul do.'"
However, when asked, "What is Sangguk's final thought?" he cried out, "Where would a woman go home alone? I have to escort her!" drawing laughter. Ultimately dropping to his knees, Yang Sang-guk roared, "I have to escort her," previewing a completely changed persona and raising expectations.
Meanwhile, Yang Sang-guk drew criticism from viewers for anachronistic remarks on tvN's Amazing Saturday and Pinggego. On Pinggego he said, "In our (Gyeongsang Province) case, we don't escort (girlfriends) at all. I think it's better not to do it unless you're going to do it for life," and toward Yu Jae-seok, who tried to smooth things over, he also said, "Yu Jae-seok, if you say that one more time I'll scold you."
