'Toy world Yu Jae-seok' Lee Sang-hoon returns to living rooms with an even more expansive scale and surprising recent news.
Tomorrow (16) at 11:10 p.m., the MBC variety show 'Omniscient Interfering View' (hereinafter 'Jeonchamshi') episode 398 will reveal the scene of the ultra-large toy flea market hosted by the undisputed 'top otaku' Lee Sang-hoon.
Held to mark Children's Day, this flea market was in fact a massive festival for 'adult kids (adult + child)'. With as many as 100 sales booths set up, rare limited-edition figures and ultra-rare toys that are usually hard to find gathered in full force, making otaku hearts race.
In response, about 2,000 visitors from across the country gathered. Reports say long waiting lines with no end in sight continued on site, making people realize Lee Sang-hoon's tremendous influence.
To choose items to put up at the flea market, Lee Sang-hoon revealed his 'secret warehouse.' He uses a separate personal storage space because even the museum he operates lacks room. Toy boxes filling the warehouse densely resembled a large toy store, eliciting exclamations.
Especially here, a voice-responsive Iron Man mask and a lightsaber reportedly gifted personally by singer Kang Daniel, known as a 'Star Wars' fan, will appear and grab attention. Also, Lee Sang-hoon revealed a so-called 'figure ledger' listing purchase prices and shocked the site with the bombshell remark, 'I've calculated up to 500 million won.'
Good news for Lee Sang-hoon was also reported. After appearing on 'Jeonchamshi,' visits to the toy museum surged by as much as sevenfold, enjoying explosive popularity.
Lee Sang-hoon said, 'Thanks to the broadcast, I plan to pay off all the debt incurred from building the museum within this month,' adding emotionally, 'This is all thanks to Jeonchamshi,' receiving warm congratulatory applause from the MCs.<
