Lina, the protagonist of the musical 'Lina, Superhero,' which Eva Almerson is presenting for the first time, released her first single 'Flower in You' today (14th), beginning her full-scale activities. This is the first time a musical protagonist has debuted as an AI singer.
Lina's debut song 'Flower in You' is a piece that captures the moving story of the musical 'Lina, Superhero.' The roughly 3 minute 30 second AI animated music video released with the single goes beyond a simple technical experiment and faithfully realizes Eva Almerson's warm painting style and message with a high level of completeness.
Behind this project is director Roy Oh, a master of AI-based visual direction. He, who has received attention on the global stage through directing the opening film for the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) and producing videos for the 2025 APEC summit, is the person responsible for bringing Lina to life as a vivid AI singer.
Director Roy Oh expressed special affection for the work, saying, "We live in an era where you can make anything with AI, but Eva Almerson's work had emotions that had to move."
He emphasized that this collaboration started from the fundamental question of not being a mere technical attempt but rather 'how to make a painting with emotion move to life.' The production team also expressed confidence, saying, "This single and music video will be a beautiful starting point where audiences first meet Lina's world."
The musical 'Lina, Superhero,' which opens July 10 at the Yangjae-dong KEPCO Art Center, is a fantasy work about 11-year-old Lina, who loves flowers and paintings, fighting a giant monster born from trash.<
