Comedian Jeong Ju-ri, mother of five sons, was thrown into turmoil by the resignation of her childcare aide and a shocking proposal from her husband.
On the afternoon of the 13th, a video titled "What happened to the mother of many children, Jeong Ju-ri???" was posted on the YouTube channel "Jeong Ju-ri."
Jeong Ju-ri announced the farewell to her sister-in-law by marriage who had been her 'hands and feet' for the past 1 year and 2 months. The sister-in-law, a 23-year Veteran daycare teacher, returned to her primary job under favorable conditions, leaving Jeong Ju-ri in a position where she immediately has to handle the five children alone.
Jeong Ju-ri said, "Really, starting tomorrow it's my time to stand on my own. I have to pull myself together. I really have to take care of the children by myself now," expressing extreme tension and helplessness. But her husband's reaction to the news made Jeong Ju-ri even more astonished.
Jeong Ju-ri revealed her husband's bombshell remark, saying, "When I told this to my husband, do you know what he said? 'Then I'll quit too and watch the kids at home with you,' he said."
Her husband's intention to share the burdens of childcare was admirable, but the practical issue of supporting a family with five sons took precedence. Jeong Ju-ri then delivered a cutting retort, "Then who will earn the money?" which drew laughs.
