"This is going to give me PTSD." That was viewers' reaction to some members of I'm SOLO season 31 crossing the line with their words and actions.
On the May 13 episode of ENA and SBS Plus's real dating show I'm SOLO, during the "super date ticket" mission, Youngsook and Oksun openly talked behind Sunja's back in front of her, and viewers were greatly angered by Youngsook's unreasonable remarks and Kyungsoo's rudeness.
Among the male members, Kyungsoo from season 31 first won the "super date ticket." The female members ran: Sunja and Youngsook ran hard, and during the race Youngsook tripped over her own foot and won, earning the "super date ticket."
In an interview, Sunja said she ran with the mindset of winning one at all costs and kept running until she bled, and somehow Youngsook caught up to her, which Sunja said she thought was very impressive. She said she felt Youngsook's resolute will, wondered how much she wanted to beat her, and that she understood the heart that ran wanting to beat her, showing respect for Youngsook's determination.
But Oksun loudly told Youngsook, "You worked so hard. You're our number one in our hearts," and Youngsook said, "Did I trip over someone's leg and fall?" Song Hae reacted strongly, saying, "What's wrong with her, really. Watch your words." The problem was Sunja heard this; she curled up, sat behind a door and cried.
Kyungsoo further stoked the fire. Sunja began having stomach cramps from stress, and Kyungsoo called Sunja over and asked, "Could you use the super date ticket on me? It's selfish, but I want to use it on Youngsook."
Sunja, who had already been clutching her stomach and in pain from hearing the backbiting-like chatter between Oksun and Youngsook, finally couldn't speak and collapsed, and the production team's intervention brought an ambulance that took Sunja away.
Seeing Sunja cry, Youngsook said, "Are you crying?" then told Junghui, "Ah, I'm scared," and left. When Kyungsoo came and said he couldn't use the super date ticket and that he would focus more on Sunja, his expression gradually changed.
In the preview, Youngsook entered the shared living room saying, "They say I'm number one," and told Junghui and Youngsik, "Kyungsoo came and said he can't use the super date ticket on me. He said that after Sunja broke down in tears," and brazenly asked, "Why did I run for this? Should I break down once too?" In response, Defconn said, "Then why didn't you try to be number one?"
Viewers were angered by Youngsook's crossing-the-line behavior.
