The mother-in-law repeatedly urged Yoo Dong-geun, "You must only listen to your wife," and "If you make your wife angry, it will be bad for you." Hearing the sincere words of a mother-in-law who knew better than anyone the hardships of the daughter-in-law who had cared for her all her life, Jeon In-hwa said, "When she said that at the end, my heart completely melted," moving viewers.
The late mother-in-law even appeared in Jeon In-hwa's dreams after her death to deliver a special message. Jeon In-hwa recalled, "She appeared twice. In the dream she asked me to bathe her, so I washed her and dressed her in a pale jade skirt jeogori. Her face was beautiful like white jade," and said she felt relieved thinking her mother-in-law was resting comfortably in a good place, suggesting her exceptional filial piety.
