Singer Seo In Young found new love about three years after she began divorce proceedings and ended her marriage by agreement.

Seo In Young said, "He wasn't completely my type. But do you know what I fell for?" and explained, "At that time I had four or five friends with me? So honestly it was a place where it would be hard to come. The blind date was originally the next day."
They had sprung a test on him by calling the man to the drinking gathering with friends one day before the blind date. Seo In Young recalled, "Suddenly they called and said, 'Could you come here?' If he canceled that, I thought I wouldn't meet him."

Earlier, Seo In Young decided to separate from her ex-husband and began formal divorce proceedings around mid-May 2023. However, the divorce proceedings between Seo In Young and her husband lasted much longer than expected. Because their marriage ended seven months after it began, their married life was not long, they had no children, and issues such as property division were not large, it was expected to conclude quickly, but reality differed. A spokesperson added that the reason was that differences of opinion between the two sides over the divorce and issues such as fault had prolonged the case for more than six months.

At the time, Seo In Young's agency SW Entertainment said, "Seo In Young recently completed an agreed divorce. We would like to say that, as reported by several media outlets, there were no issues such as fault in the divorce process," and added, "The two agreed to end their marriage amicably and will support each other's paths going forward."
Meanwhile, in February 2023 Seo In Young wed a non-celebrity businessman in a luxury hotel at Namsan in Seoul. The two drew attention for holding a super-fast wedding after five months of dating, and the ceremony was a topic of conversation as a "100 million-won wedding."
However, in September of the same year, seven months after the wedding, news first emerged about Seo In Young's marital breakup and that fault was "presumed to lie with the wife Seo In Young," causing a stir. On the other hand, reports also surfaced that Seo In Young decided to divorce because of her husband's fault and that she filed for divorce against her husband first.
