The group aespa will begin promotions of the pre-release track "WDA" ahead of their second full-length album comeback.
aespa released the pre-release track "WDA (Whole Different Animal)" from their second full-length album "LEMONADE" on the 11th.
This song is a hip-hop-based dance track with a grand synth bass and a heavy hook that gives an overwhelming feel, and Big Bang member G-Dragon participated in rap making and as a featured artist, completing the synergy.
The synergy between aespa and G-Dragon translated into chart performance. The song reached the top 10 on the iTunes Top Songs chart in 17 regions worldwide, including Thailand, Portugal, Vietnam, Singapore, Chile, Brazil, Ukraine, Cambodia and Peru.
It also earned the "Gold album" certification from QQ Music, China's largest music platform (awarded when sales exceed about 250,000 yuan), and ranked No. 1 on the integrated K-pop chart across five music platforms, including the digital album sales chart.
aespa will warm up their comeback for the second full-length album with the release of "WDA" and music show promotions. They will begin with cable channel Mnet's "M Countdown" airing today (the 14th), followed by KBS 2TV's MUSIC BANK on the 15th, MBC's Show! Music Core on the 16th and SBS's Inkigayo on the 17th.
