BTS will once again make history in global popular music by magnificently decorating the final stage of the world people's grand festival '2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup™'.
On the 14th (local time), according to official announcements from the international civic movement organization Global Citizen and FIFA, BTS will take the stage as a co-headliner for the World Cup final halftime show on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States.
In particular, this performance is the first final halftime show planned in FIFA World Cup history. BTS has been selected to perform side by side as a co-headliner with legendary pop stars Madonna and Shakira.
This halftime show is being produced overall by Global Citizen, which has carried out large-scale campaigns to address global challenges such as ending poverty, climate change and global health. It is expected to be a meaningful occasion to raise awareness for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund campaign to expand quality education and sports access for children in underserved areas, as well as to connect the world by fusing sports, music and culture.
BTS conveyed their overwhelming feelings through their agency BigHit Music. They said, "We are greatly honored to stand on a meaningful stage shared by the whole world. We believe music is a universal language that conveys hope and unity. Through this World Cup, it is even more meaningful to share that message with global viewers and help expand educational opportunities for children."
This show, promising an unprecedented scale, will have Coldplay's Chris Martin curating to enhance musical completeness. Familiar characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets will join the lineup to create a gathering of unity that people of all ages can enjoy.
Meanwhile, ahead of the World Cup halftime show appearance, BTS is proving overwhelming ticket power with a massive tour scale. They will hold the world tour BTS WORLD TOUR [ARIRANG] IN STANFORD for three days in total on the 17th, 18th and 20th at Stanford Stadium in the United States. They will set a great record as the first Korean singers to hold a solo concert at that venue, leaving another brilliant mark in the history of global pop music.
