Former coed group Tutu member and broadcaster Hwang Hye-young revealed an update saying she has regained stability after brain tumor surgery caused by a meningioma.
On the 13th, TV CHOSUN's Perfect Life (abbreviated as "Pera") featured Hwang Hye-young as a guest.
Hwang Hye-young, who was hugely popular in the 1990s as the original pocket girl, was diagnosed with a meningioma in 2010 while focusing on her online shopping mall business. A brain tumor had been found in the right cerebellum. With the support of her husband Kim Kyung-rok, she underwent surgery and regained her health, and she was now enjoying a stable life while focusing on health management.
She looked after her health by enjoying a healthy breakfast of soft tofu salad topped with blueberry purée and served with sparkling water as an ade. He, who used to say "I used to eat bread often," said, "Just thinking about it makes my mouth water, but now I worry about my blood sugar," and revealed her tip that she used to take 40 blueberries every day and now conveniently enjoys them as a purée.
Hwang Hye-young, who married in 2011, built a family after giving birth to twin sons. In particular, she once became a successful businesswoman who, as a former shopping mall CEO, recorded annual sales in the 10 billion won range. She was therefore enjoying a comfortable life in an apartment with a Han River view in Seoul.
She said, "Because I have twin sons, when they go to school and leave the house it becomes quiet and I get time alone," and joked, "When I get time to myself I stay at home as much as possible."
After eating healthy food, she immediately put on an apron. It was to draw as a hobby. She set up an easel by the window overlooking the Han River and concentrated on painting, squeezing out acrylic paint.
Seeing Hwang Hye-young, who said, "I really enjoy spending time alone like that," Lee Sung-mi empathized, saying, "It feels like it could be psychologically healing." Hwang Hye-young said, "Even if I actually feel stressed, when I draw I have no thoughts. I usually paint for more than three or four hours."
